No, it’s not Scrooge! It is the ROCK! Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer; for he said, Till now the Lord has helped us. 1 Samuel 7:12 When I look back on my life and I lose count of where God has helped me:
- When I was only a child, scared of the subway rumbling
- When I was a kid, worried about what people would think
- When I was just a teenager and frightened of growing up
- When I was at college, excited to meet brand new friends
On this day, this very last day of 2012, I recount how God was/is with me. How I trust that He will continue to help me:
- When Im afraid of the storms raging all around me
- When I worry about what others think of what I do or what I say
- As he teaches me wonderful things in the trials and triumphs
- When it all seems so much and Im overwhelmed by the emotional business of life
