When God calls your name, He fills you with ability, intelligence, and knowledge.
See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship…” ( Exodus 31:2-3 ESV)
Have you ever thought to yourself, “Wow, I wonder where THAT came from?” It was as if you were destined to do something you never knew you had within you to do or accomplish. I mean, you were called to do it, you just never imagined it be possible. You know what I’m talking about– it’s finding that sweetspot in life/work that you were always meant to do but never realized you could. When the Israelites were leaving Egypt with nothing to worship God except what they were carrying in their caravan, and no skills of their own except the sweat, blood and tears they could offer; God called people to do a work they weren’t even capable of dreaming of. God CALLED Bezalel and then provide him with the tools he would need to be used. The calling came first and then the know-how came after the Spirit of God filled Him. You will rarely get called by God to do something after He gives you the tools. He wants you to know first that you are being called by Him and then, He will provide what you need. I believe that this is often when we ask ourselves, “where did that come from?” You are being called by name. God is calling you from where you are. It doesn’t matter what you are doing or where you are in life or even how you got there. You are about to be filled with the Spirit of God because you are being called. And when that Spirit of God fills you, keep your eyes open because you will be surprised by the ability, intelligence and knowledge that will explode from within you.
