Have you ever dreamed of witnessing something amazing? Then step into his space.
And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, We never saw anything like this! (Mark 2:12 ESV)
There he was, at his own home looking to get some rest, but people had found him and started to gather at his house to hear what he had to say. So he decided to preach the good news to the people who invaded his home in Capernum. That’s when a paralytic dropped right in front of Jesus, in his own home. You see, for friends dropped their paralytic friend through a hole they created in Jesus’ roof hoping that Jesus would do something for their friend. When Jesus saw what his friends did, he healed the paralytic immediately. Imagine the situation: you were one of the lucky few who actually got a front row seat to see to Jesus teach and the ceiling above stated to crumble little by little onto your hair, clothes and the floor around you. When you look up you see the shadow of a bed getting bigger as it is being lowered by four big shadows standing on the roof above you. What would you be thinking? How rude? How annoying? How do I get out, the exits are all blocked? What the hell? Etc. Then Jesus says to the man on the mat just lowered before him, “son, your sins are forgiven.” The man and his friends just broke the roof in your house and all Jesus says is, “your sins are forgiven?” No, that was just the beginning. Not only was his sins forgiven, he was also healed. When we invade Jesus’ space we are also forgiven. In fact, when we are in Jesus’ space we are healed. When you are in Jesus’ space already forgiven and healed, you get a chance to witness the amazing. That’s why we believe and that’s why we share Jesus with friends and family who don’t– because we receive the opportunity to witness Jesus’ power in His space.
