God takes our faith, which is nothing more than hope, and makes it a reality — a righteousness undeserved based on the culmination of our actions and decisions.

For in it (the Gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17 ESV)

The New Testament highlights the power of God most vibrantly when people who are seemingly unfit to be the people of God, to manifest the glory of God through the grace of God. Simply put, we will only read story after story about how people who shouldn’t have a chance, get a chance to walk with God and be with God.

For those of us looking for a higher calling, or a greater purpose, our life’s work is predicated on a chance to do something more with our lives than we are capable of doing and the Gospel highlights just that. God makes us right with Him and allows us to walk with Him simply based on our belief that in His Son’s name, Jesus, we can.

If you question whether you’re right with God or how your decisions and actions make you right with God, stop questioning. Start believing that God will take your willingness to be right with Him and give you right standing before Him. Your faith in believing the stories of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection are the basis of your righteousness with God. Everything else will be handled by God. God makes us right.
