I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. (Galatians 3:5)
Many of us will live our entire lives longing to witness a miracle that we will allow ourselves be blinded by the notion of what constitutes a miracle. Most of us don’t see the miracle because we’re busy trying to earn the miracle, aren’t we? We fail to see Jesus in the events and experience of life and how He is working in them and through them and as a result we miss the miracle that was deliberately left out there for us to experience by God. The funny thing is that we believe Jesus to be the miracle worker but don’t want to believe that Jesus is responsible for both small and big miracles in our lives because of our supposed “worthiness.” There is only one prerequisite for witnessing miracles in your everyday life: believe that Christ powers miracles in your life. Wow. It’s so simple. More importantly, we have to believe Christ is alive and working in us and through us and therefore the possibility of a miracle happening around us is a near reality. Jesus does miracles in our lives because we believe He does and as a result Jesus will do miracles in our lives. Faith is a miracle that we need recognize and from here, we will be witnesses of greater miracles in Jesus’ name.
